My Pursuit

snakesAs I progressed through my Associates of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology I set it in my mind I wanted to do an internship in Alaska.

Much of my efforts went towards applying to the Alaska Sealife Center in Seward, AK.  It’s emphasis was focused on, believe it or not, sea life! This intrigued me more, but I wasn’t accepted unfortunately due to such a large competition this year.  Fortunately, I found another place and was accepted for an eight week internship in Anchorage, AK working for Pet Emergency Treatment from June 30th through August 30th.  PET is a 24/7 clinic that provides treatment and care for small domestic animals and wild birds in emergency situations.  During this time I will be taking pictures, traveling, meeting new people, making memories and saving them all by blogging about my “Alaskan Experience” as I am calling it.

I hope to convey the same enjoyment I am having here to you!
